Carolina loses third game in a row.
The Carolina Hurricanes were hoping to start off the month of December on a positive note but instead found themselves down, 1-0 just 19 seconds into the game as they went on to lose to the Seattle Kraken, 4-2 on Tuesday night at the Lenovo Center.
The Canes were outshot, 6-5 in the opening period and 14-2 in the second as they had a hard time finding their typical game.
It looked like they would be able to overcome their tough start with a fired up third period.
Martin Necas started things off in the period when he tied the game at 2 early on. A couple of minutes later, Necas made a nifty pass to Jack Drury, who made another tight angle shot which appeared to give the home team a 3-2 lead.
Unfortunately for Carolina, the goal was taken off the board for goalie interference.
Seattle took advantage of the momentum swing shortly after when they came down and took the lead 3-2. The Canes could not find their mojo again and went on to lose 4-2.
Necas had an excellent offensive game with a goal and an assist and took over the league’s scoring lead again.
Next up will be a match against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.
