Canes finish up road trip tonight
After their eight game winning streak came to an end yesterday, the Carolina Hurricanes (42-23-4) will try to start another winning streak as they take on the Anaheim Ducks (30-31-8) tonight at the Honda Center.
The Canes are coming off a 7-2 defeat at the hands of the Kings but still have an 8-2-0 record in their last 10 games.
The Ducks beat Nashville on Thursday, 4-1. They are 4-5-1 in their last 10.
At the time of this writing, I do not have an update on the status of Jordan Staal, Shayne Gostisbehere, and Andrei Svechnikov, who each missed yesterday’s game.
I’m sure Pyotr Kochetkov will have the day off and Frederik Andersen will start in net against his former team.
The Ducks could start John Gibson, who the Canes have reportedly shown interest in, or Lukas Dostal. Gibson played well and picked up the win against the Preds.
The anthem singer in Nashville used bongo drums as a backdrop to his singing, which was not lost on Trevor Zegras.
Game time is 8 P.M. Eastern and the contest will be televised by the FanDuel network.
