The Canes score twice in the third period for another comeback victory.
The Carolina Hurricanes scored twice in the third period to earn the win over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night at the Lenovo Center.
After falling behind 2-1 in the second, the Canes needed a big third period to win this one.
Four minutes and change into the period, Brent Burns got down low and took a nice feed from Sebastian Aho to tie the score.
Then with just 2:39 left in the game, Jalen Chatfield placed a perfect shot past goalie Vitek Vanecek for the game winner.
Carolina goalie Pyotr Kochetkov made 21 saves on 23 shots to earn another win.
All three Carolina goals were scored by defensemen in this one. Shayne Gostibehere scored the game’s opening goal with a blast for his sixth of the season.
The Hurricanes will next face Ottawa on Friday night.
