Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges won’t approve any trades ahead of the trade deadline. That means Bridges will stay with Charlotte for the remainder of the season.
Bridges signed the qualifying offer as a restricted free agent this summer. Because he’s on a one-year deal, Bridges would lose his Bird Rights if he’s traded. That gives the 25-year-old forward veto power over any possible trade.
The Hornets will have Bridges’ Bird Rights this summer when he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Charlotte and Bridges could sign a long-term deal, or they could work together on a sign-and-trade to another team.
