CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — Miles Bridges has agreed to a new three-year deal to stay in the Queen City, league sources confirmed on Saturday.
The three-year deal is worth $75 million with no options, according to the reports.
Bridges signed a one-year qualifying offer last season, which allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Despite being suspended for the first 10 games of the 2023-2024 season, Bridges set career highs in points per game (21) and rebounds per game (7.3).
To make room for Bridges, the Hornets made several other moves to open up cap space:
- Waived Davis Bertans
- Waived Bryce McGowens
- Waived Aleksej Pokusevski
- Traded for Devonte Graham but will waive him
The Hornets also announced they’ve officially acquired Josh Green, Reggie Jackson and two second-round picks as part of a six-team trade that sent 4x NBA Champion Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks.
