LaMelo Ball said that his goal was to be ready for next season’s training camp on Monday, speaking to reporters for the first time since undergoing season-ending ankle surgery on March 1.
“It’s tough. I mean probably annoying just going through it, but I’m still alive and stuff like that, so you can’t really be too mad. Just go through the rehab, do that whole process and try to come out on top,” said Ball.
Ball played just 36 games due to ankle injuries this season.
Ball added that he was still unsure whether he would wear ankle braces next season.
“I haven’t really looked into that yet. I gotta see how I feel first when I come back. Then I will make a decision.”
