The Charlotte Hornets have hired Kemba Walker as a player enhancement coach. Walker announced his retirement from professional basketball on Tuesday.
Walker, a four-time NBA All-Star and a 2018-19 All-NBA Third Team selection, is the Hornets’ all-time leader in points, field goals, 3-pointers, free throws and minutes played. He ranks second in Charlotte history in assists, third in steals and third in games played. Following a 12-year NBA career, Walker won the French League championship this season with AS Monaco before announcing his retirement.
Walker left the Hornets to sign with the Boston Celtics during the 2019 offseason.
