CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges will miss at least the next two weeks after injuring his knee late in Wednesday’s dramatic win over Detroit.
The team said MRI results Thursday revealed Bridges has a bone bruise in his right knee. The 26-year-old hyperextended his knee, causing him to fall to the ground and hobble after getting on his feet. He was on the floor for the end of the game, however.
Bridges is listed as out vs. Indiana on Nov. 8 and will be reevaluated in two weeks.
In eight games this season, Bridges has averaged 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He tied his season-high with 27 points against the Pistons.
The injury is the latest for Charlotte, which has had bad luck the last three seasons. Both regular centers, Mark Williams and Nick Richards also are out with foot and rib injuries.
