Charlotte Hornets new front office leader Jeff Peterson made it clear where his team stands with free agent forward Miles Bridges.
“I’ve made it very clear to Miles that we want him to remain as a Hornet”, Peterson said.
Bridges is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. After missing the entire 2022-23 season after going unsigned and then suspended due to domestic violence charges, Bridges played out the 2023-24 season on a one-year qualifying offer for Charlotte.
That one-year deal makes Bridges an unrestricted free agent. He could draw interest from cap space teams, but the Hornets have Bridges’ full Bird rights to offer him any contract up to the maximum.
