CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Mint continues to make its mark on pro uniforms in the QC.
This week the Charlotte Hornets unveiled its latest edition of the NBA City Edition uniform, which will be worn during several games this season. The alternate jersey was first introduced in 2021.
“We’re pleased to introduce a new City Edition uniform to be worn this season during our various City-themed nights,” Hornets Sports & Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer Seth Bennett said.
Mint and gold are supposed to represent the Carolina gold rush of the early 1800s. The team will wear the jersey in 10 home games and 7 road games.
“From the very start, our uniforms have been bold and fashionable, putting style front and center, and this uniform is no different. The minted story has always really resonated with our fans, and Charlotte, and is a chapter that we are proud to celebrate.”
The Nike jersey can be purchased from the Hornets Fan Shop at Spectrum Center.
