CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — The Charlotte Hornets may have their new head of basketball operations, according to a league source.
The Hornets are reportedly set to hire Brooklyn Nets executive Jeff Peterson as the franchise’s next head of basketball operations.
A league source has confirmed with CSL that the two sides are in talks to make this official.

The move comes as former general manager Mitch Kupchak left the post earlier this month after a tough 11-41 start to the season. The team said Kupchak would move into an advisory role.
On Feb. 12, the team announced that they had no immediate GM replacement and no decisions about the future of head coach Steve Clifford.
