CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — The Hornets are no longer on ESPN’s schedule this year.
The NBA announced Friday that the Jan. 17 matchup against the Bulls was moved from ESPN to the FanDuel Sports Network. The time is also different, with tipoff at 8 p.m. Eastern instead of 9:30 p.m.
It was the only game for Charlotte scheduled for the network. Three games will be simulcast on NBA TV: Jan. 20 against the Mavericks, Feb. 3 against the Warriors and April 6 against the Bulls.
ESPN likely booked the matchup since both teams have a member of the Ball family (Lonzo on Bulls, LaMelo on the Hornets). The Hornets fell to 7-26 after a loss to the Pistons Friday night.
