Thousands of fans attended this Saturday’s practice for the South Carolina Gamecocks. After practice was over, Kamilla Cardoso signed some autographs for those in attendance.
Cardoso, who earned All-American honors this season, made a young fan’s day by signing her “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” sweatshirt.
Immediately after Cardoso signed her sweatshirt, the young fan started crying. We’d have to imagine she was letting out tears of joy.
Beth Hoole of Fox Carolina shared footage of this heartfelt moment on social media.
“This is one of the most wholesome moments I’ve seen in a long time,” Hoole wrote on X. “This young girl brought to tears after @Kamillascsilva signs her ‘Everyone watches women’s sports’ sweatshirt. She has a @dawnstaley autograph on there too!! Got choked up shooting this.”

A moment like this is what makes the rise of women’s college basketball so beautiful to watch.
Cardoso will be back in action this Sunday against Iowa. She’s hoping to win her second national championship.
This Sunday’s game will be the last of Cardoso’s college career. Earlier this week, she declared for the WNBA Draft.
On Friday night, Cardoso had 22 points and 11 rebounds in South Carolina’s dominant win over NC State.
