EJ Walker, a four-star in the class of 2025 out of Lloyd Memorial High (KY.), has committed to South Carolina, he announced Friday.
The 6-foot-9 power forward chose the Gamecocks over Purdue, Wisconsin and Ohio State.
Walker is the third commit in Lamont Paris’ class of 2025, joining four-star Eli Ellis and three-star Hayden Assemian.
In terms of what Walker can bring to the table, his high school coach Michael Walker stressed EJ’s versatility above all.
“You’re getting a kid who’s very versatile,” Mike said. “He can play multiple positions, he can guard multiple positions and he can score at all three levels.”
“His IQ is really high,” coach Walker continued. “His best ability is being able to pass and make his teammates better. I call him a Swiss army knife because there’s so much he can do, and that’s what coaches love about him.”
