South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley was a surprise caller to “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Friday.
Staley called in after South Carolina beat LSU on Thursday night and admitted at the end of her call that she heard some LSU fans talking a lot before the game.
“I heard you had some callers last week talking about us. Let the floodgates open,” Staley said, via Saturday Down South.
Finebaum then admitted that was true before Staley remembered a caller’s name (Dwayne) and told Finebaum to tell him hello.
It was a pretty funny exchange between the two, and who knows, maybe Staley will call into his show again later on this season.
South Carolina got to 18-0 with its 76-70 win over LSU in Baton Rouge. Chloe Kitts led the Gamecocks with 14 points and was closely followed by Raven Johnson with 13.
