North Carolina star guard RJ Davis will return to Chapel Hill for a fifth season, multiple reports confirmed Wednesday.
The 6-foot point guard from Archbishop Stepinac (NY.) averaged 21.2 points, 3.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds last season en route to the ACC Player of the Year Award, Jerry West Award and first-team All-American.
The Tar Heels now return starting guards in Davis and Elliot Cadeau while also bringing back Seth Trimble, who removed his name from the Transfer Portal yesterday.
Hubert Davis and North Carolina bring in the No. 12 freshman class, headlined by McDonald’s All-Americans Ian Jackson and Drake Powell.
Welcomed news in Chapel Hill—with more on the way. Trimble’s not the only guy sticking around. RJ Davis is on board to return as well, source tells @CBSSports, with an official announcement landing in the next few days. UNC also returning Elliott Cadeau in the backcourt, too. https://t.co/HKsLsOFiZy
