Former North Carolina guard Tyler Nickel has transferred to Virginia Tech, he announced Thursday.
A former four-star recruit out of Virginia in the class of 2022, Nickel averaged 2.1 points per game last season for the Tar Heels.

Nickel joins four-star Brandon Rechsteiner and three-star Jaydon Young as newcomers to the Hokies’ squad next season.
