Kyan Evans is moving up.
The 6-foot-2 sophomore guard is transferring from Colorado State to North Carolina, he announced on his social media.
Evans averaged 10.6 point, 3.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds last season as Colorado State won the Mountain West tournament championship and then upset No. 5 Memphis as a 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They lost to Maryland in the second round.
Evans went for 23 points and 4 assists in the win over Memphis.
Evans joins West Virginia transfer guard Jonathan Powell and Arizona transfer center Henri Veessar in North Carolina’s incoming haul, while guards Eliot Cadeau (Michigan) and Ian Jackson are on the way out along with forward Jalen Washington (Vanderbilt). St. John’s, Kentucky and Arkansas are among the schools involved for Jackson, the former Cardinal Hayes star from The Bronx.
North Carolina is also set to host BYU transfer forward Kanon Catchings on Friday, and he could pull the trigger soon after.
