The projected No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and No. 1 overall prospect in the 2025 class, A.J. Dybantsa, wrapped up an official visit to North Carolina this past weekend.
“It went well,” his father, Ace Dybantsa, told ZAGSBLOG.
On the visit, Dybantsa was able to meet with head coach Hubert Davis and the North Carolina staff. He also toured the facilities and chatted with former North Carolina star big man Armando Bacot.
North Carolina was Dybantsa’s third visit of this fall. He’s already taken Kansas and Kansas State and will trip Alabama (Sept. 27), Baylor (Oct. 4-6) and BYU (Oct. 11-13) to close. Auburn has already received an official visit in March, and Ace said the Dybantsa’s will not be going on any unofficial visits.
Dybantsa will be on Alabama’s campus this weekend with Georgia in town for football. That’s set to be a top-five matchup and the campus will surely feature quite the environment.
The decision timeline for Dybantsa is currently set for sometime in February.
