CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — The North Carolina football team is looking to break a couple of three-game losing streaks on Saturday as they face a team they haven’t beaten since 2019.
The Tar Heels (3-3 overall, 0-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) host Georgia Tech (4-2, 2-2) at Kenan Stadium Saturday. Kick off is scheduled for noon.
UNC is currently in the midst of a three-game skid, with their last win coming nearly a month ago against NC Central on Sept. 14. They also have lost three games in a row to the Yellow Jackets. The Tar Heels’ last win against Georgia Tech was a 38-22 victory in Atlanta on Oct. 5, 2019.
The Yellow Jackets are entering this game having just beaten Duke, who the Tar Heels lost to two weeks ago. Georgia Tech opened the 2024 NCAA Division I football season with an upset of Florida State in Dublin, Ireland.
Carolina will get a bye next week before finishing out the month playing Virginia in Charlottesville.
