CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — After two losses in a row, North Carolina needs to turn it around on the football field, but it won’t be easy task Saturday as an undefeated team comes to town.
The Tar Heels (3-2 overall, 0-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) host Pittsburgh in what will be the Panthers’ (4-0, 0-0) first ACC game this season. Kick off at Kenan Stadium is set for noon.
UNC is looking to erase the bitter memories of their last game in Chapel Hill: a 70-50 blowout loss to James Madison two weeks ago. Adding extra fuel to the fire is their most recent loss to rival Duke last week in Durham in which they blew a 20-point lead in the second half.
But Pitt scored 73 points in their win over Youngstown State two weeks ago, proving themselves to be an offense capable of wearing down a spotty Carolina defense that has had a tough season so far.
Next week, UNC will host Georgia Tech before their bye week. They’ll then head to Charlottesville to finish the month playing at Virginia.
