STANFORD, Calif. (WNCN) — North Carolina women’s basketball is coming off a good conference win over a fellow Top 25 team, and now they’re looking to wrap up their West Coast trip with sweep of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s newest members.
The No. 15 Tar Heels (19-4 overall, 7-3 ACC) face the Stanford Cardinal (11-9, 3-6) Saturday afternoon. Tipoff at Maples Pavilion is scheduled for 3 p.m. Eastern time.
On Thursday night, UNC notched a win across the bay, defeating No. 19 Cal 65-52. Reniya Kelly led the Tar Heels in that game with 16 points and five rebounds, while Alyssa Ustby contributed 11 points and seven boards.
The Cardinal also got a win Thursday night at home against Pitt. In their 58-46 victory, Chloe Clardy and Elena Bosgana each scored 14 points for Stanford while also contributing seven rebounds and six rebounds, respectively.
UNC has a week off before their next game. The Tar Heels are scheduled to play at Clemson next Sunday afternoon.
