RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season champions North Carolina State is looking to return to the Final Four for the second straight season.
They’ll begin their 2025 NCAA Tournament at home as a No. 2 seed in Regional 1 in Spokane. The Wolfpack (26-6) will host the No. 15 Vermont Catamounts (21-12) in Raleigh on Saturday.
ACC Coach of the Year Wes Moore and his star guards, headlined by Aziaha James, will look to make another run through the NCAA tournament. James is averaging 17.9 points per game this season, while fellow guards Zoe Brooks, Saniya Rivers are Madison Hayes are all also averaging double-digits in scoring.
The Catamounts won the America East Tournament to earn their berth in the NCAAs. Senior forward Anna Olson is Vermont’s leading scorer this year, averaging 12.8 points per game.
The regional is home to the tournament’s overall No. 1 seed, UCLA.
