I think we can safely say Will Wade won the press conference this afternoon, while exuding the confidence and enthusiasm that has the fanbase so excited about him:
“This is not a rebuild,” Wade said. “We’re going to be in the top part of the ACC next year and we’re going to be in the NCAA Tournament.
“This is not something that’s going to take a whole lot of time.”
Well okay, then, sign me up for 15 season tickets. No, 25 season tickets!
He also did a good job of addressing the NCAA scandal that cost him his job at LSU, emphasizing what he learned from it.

I have had some reservations about the way he conducted himself then—how he came off on those phone calls, for example—so I appreciated hearing him own up to that and speak honestly about looking in the mirror. I think that was important for him to get across today after the very public nature of that mess.
