NC State’s receiving corps will return largely intact next season, with Wesley Grimes and Dacari Collins the latest to re-up with the Pack’s NIL collective. Grimes, Collins, Noah Rogers, Terrell Anderson, and Kenan Jackson all are going to be back.
I’m surprised it’s worked out this way, honestly—I figured either Grimes or Collins would take a shot at a bigger role elsewhere. I also thought there was a good chance Noah Rogers would move on, but that catch against UNC might have changed his trajectory.
With those five back, and KC Concepcion moving on, it leaves just one big name left at receiver: Justin Joly. Joly is probably mulling taking his chances in the draft this spring, not a transfer, since we’d have probably heard about the latter by now.
I’d love to have Joly back for another year but I’m taking all these receiver re-signings as an indicator that he’s probably going to move on. The way this has shaped up, it just doesn’t seem like Joly is a part of the plan for next fall.
