Coach Wade adds a small forward from Raleigh
NC State added some size by signing Raleigh Millbrook legend, Colt Langdon. Colt is transferring from Butler where he redshirted his only college season. The staff’s expectation is that he’ll come off the bench this season.
Stats:
- Ht / Wt: 6’7” / 205 lbs
- Position: Forward
- Eligibility: 4 seasons
- ’24-’25 Season Highs: Redshirt season at Butler
Background:
Colt Langdon is the all-time leading scorer at Raleigh’s Millbrook High School, and he did it in only three seasons. He scored 1758 points, breaking the record set by Chris Clemons who ended up at Campbell and led the nation in scoring with 30.1 ppg in ’18-’19.
Colt averaged 26.4 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.7 apg and 1.5 blocks shooting 48% / 35% / and 82% his final season at Millbrook.
He had offers from Illinois, Notre Dame, Va Tech, West Virginia, and Ole Miss, eventually choosing Butler.
Because he reclassified, he was one of the younger players on their team and buried on the roster behind veteran forwards, so he chose to redshirt and work on his body and his game.
He entered the transfer portal last week and immediately set a visit with NC State.
He has four seasons of eligibility – basically he’s joining the Wolfpack’s freshman class.
