There is no joy in Mudville, or rather, no ice cream in Raleigh. The NC State offense’s bounce back to bricktacular normalcy in Syracuse was predictable, and of course its defense was again absent. The Pack’s defense has been consistent in its shittiness on the road all year, making bad teams look good and good teams look even better. If your team needs to get right, there’s no better opponent for your purposes than NC State.
NC State has allowed over 1.1 points per possession in seven of nine road games, including last night.
NC State has allowed 56% shooting on twos and 39.3% shooting on threes in road games. The effort has been bad and the results reflect it. The league average in those categories is 51.5% and 35.1%, respectively.
It’s impressive in a way, the shittiness. You can set your watch to it. (Did I jump on Syracuse -1.5 last night? Maybe.) I can’t wait to see what the fellas cook up for Miami (third-worst offense in ACC play) and Georgia Tech (second-worst).
