Week 9 saw an underwhelming 3-4 performance from the dungeon, but the wheels continue to turn at all hours, and we are committed to improvement. That is the dungeon promise!
NC State is holding as a 10-point favorite, and I’m still not confident enough to bet either way. If you do like the Pack to cover, might as well take that over 47 as well, I think.
Obligatory Bet Against UNC Of The Week
I should have figured that Virginia would be the one team to not cooperate; UVA laying a big ol’ egg against the Heels is such a UVA thing to do, honestly. Can’t count on those dorks for anything. UNC is a 2.5-point favorite at FSU tomorrow, but this just means that the Noles are in position to do something very funny. Especially since they haven’t scored more than 21 points in a game all season. On that note, I like the under 50 bet here also.
Around The Country
Air Force vs. Army -23: Hey, Air Force almost covered last week! Good for them. Maybe they can get some nice t-shirts made to celebrate the near-accomplishment. It might lessen the blow of losing this game 44-7 or whatever.
Ohio State vs. Penn State, under 46.5: Ohio State is coming off a deeply confusing performance against Nebraska (though, that game being sandwiched between Oregon and PSU might explain it), while Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is banged up and potentially a game-time decision. Feels like the chances of a slog here are pretty good.
Virginia Tech -4 vs. Syracuse: Tech is playing pretty well right now—three straight wins by double-figures—and I’m wondering how Kyle McCord bounces back from that five-interception, three-pick-six, uh, thing he did last week. After one of the most epically bad days a QB can have, will he be all the way over it? Not sure.
Kansas State -13 vs. Houston: Thirteen points feels like more respect from Vegas than Houston has earned, given how toothless the Cougars have looked for most of the season.
Louisville +10.5 vs. Clemson: Louisville has burned me several times this season, yet here I go again, betting on Louisville. The Tigers should get this game but I think the Cards have enough offense to keep it a one-score affair.
