Good news, everyone!
Paul McNeil will be back in an NC State uniform next season, per 247Sports’ Dushawn London. That’s the biggest recruiting win of the offseason for Will Wade so far.

McNeil’s playing time was criminally sparse in league play as Kevin Keatts closed his eyes, shoved his veteran players out there, and pretended the season was not in fact going belly-up, but when he did get good minutes, he put his big potential on display. With consistent minutes—and he should have a great shot at starting—he could make a significant jump next season.
In the limited time he did get, he was 17-30 (56.7%) inside the arc and 16-45 (35.6%) on threes. A small sample, sure, but one that screams for more playing time, especially considering that he was shouldering a workload well above average (a little YOLO ball was understandable under the circumstances).
I can’t wait to see what he can do when properly utilized.
