NC State vs. Cal set for 3:30 p.m., ACC Network

The Pack heads to Berkeley for the first time.

Kickoff times for the Oct. 19 ACC schedule have been announced and NC State is slated for another noon-hour game. But it’s a west coast nooner.

NC State and Cal have never played in football before, which leads me to wonder if there’s ever been a case like this, with the first all-time meeting between two schools also being a conference game. I’m guessing conference expansion has created this scenario elsewhere (in the Big Ten, most likely), but it sure is weird to think about.
