The Pack plays at home for the opening round.
The NCAA tournament selection committee revealed its 16 regional hosts Sunday night, and to no one’s surprise, NC State is one of them. We won’t know who else is in the regional, or where State is seeded among the 16 hosts, until the selection show on Monday.

This is the first time NC State will serve as host since 2018. The Wolfpack finished the regular season at No. 15 in the RPI, with a 12-15 record against Quad 1 opponents. More than half of State’s games came against Q1 teams.
Four other ACC schools are hosting as well: FSU, Clemson, UNC, and Virginia. Notably absent is Duke, which was very impressive in winning the ACC tournament and probably deserved a spot—but will instead be a really tough two-seed for somebody to deal with. (ECU perhaps?)
The complete tournament field will be revealed on the selection show that airs Monday at noon ET on ESPN2.
