Sunday was a productive day for the football program.
It’s June, which means it’s camp season and official visits start heating up, and a couple of guys who were on campus over the weekend went ahead and made their commitments to NC State.
The first of those was consensus three-star cornerback prospect Robert Jones III, who is from Vero Beach, Florida. He had visits to Illinois and UCF also scheduled for this month but isn’t going to make those trips anymore, per Pack Pride. Louisville, Miami, and Kentucky were some of the other programs heavily involved with him.
The second commitment came from receiver Jamar Browder, who is also a Florida guy. At 6’4 and 205 pounds, he already has good size for the position, and that gives him intriguing potential at the next level. He averaged more than 20 yards per catch as a junior and 14 of his 39 receptions were touchdown grabs.
Browder, also a consensus three-star prospect, is rated the No. 105 player in Florida by 247Sports. Jones is No. 140.
NC State is up to six commitments for 2025, half of them from Florida.
