NC State added a critical piece to its frontcourt on Friday with the commitment of Boston University transfer forward Caitlin Weimar, who won Patriot League Player of the Year honors in 2024. She was also named Defensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row.

The 6’4 senior averaged 18.7 points, 10.6 boards, and 2.8 blocks in 2024 and knocked down several game-winners along the way. It was the second straight season in which she averaged a double-double.
Weimar brings loads of experience, with 97 career starts at the D-I level, and she’s scored nearly 1,500 career points. (She’ll eclipse 1,000 career rebounds this season as well.) She shot 55.3% inside the arc in 2024 and is a career 54% shooter on twos.
She is an excellent rebounder at both ends of the floor and has put up solid assist rates in each of the last two seasons as well. That will definitely be an asset, and her ability to get out in transition is a big bonus. Can’t wait to see what she can do in the ACC.
