Jaros was a Top 150 player in the class of 2023, graded as a 9.5 prospect (on a scale of 10), and the 6th ranked third baseman in the class. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
It’s unclear if the 6’3, 218 pound New Jersey native is being recruited as a first or third baseman, but with the graduations of Alec Makarewicz and Garret Pennington, the Wolfpack have holes at both positions heading into the 2025 season. The money is on him sticking at the hot corner where his defense is generally solid (2 errors; .931 fielding percentage) with lots of upside. He is an all-fields hitter with a gap approach.
Jaros played mostly as a reserve in 2024 for the Yellow Jackets, starting 11 of the 26 games he appeared in while hitting .343/.511/.543, 21.3 BB%, 23.4 K%, 0-0 SB. Eight of his starts came in April, during which he went 7-for-20 (.350) with 3 2B, 8 R, 1 RBI, 5 BB, 1 HBP, and 6 K. He tallied three multi-hit games for Georgia Tech: vs Georgia (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB), at Pittsburgh (3-for-4, 2 2B, 2 R), and at Virginia (2-for-4, 2B, 2 R, RBI).
Jaros was a high school teammate at Cranford High School with NC State RHP Shane Van Dam.
