Yoink!
NC State added a couple of prospects to its 2025 class over the last week, with both flipping to the Pack from other schools. The first of those was offensive lineman Kage Payne, who needed little time to take up the Wolfpack on an offer and decommit from Troy.
Payne is a three-star interior offensive line prospect from Ohio, and based on his five-star name, one can only conclude that he will become an excellent college player. He originally committed to Troy on Aug. 2 and decommitted 11 days later. State and Syracuse are his only two power-conference offers.
Defensive back Gerritt Kemp flipped from Duke to NC State a couple days ago; he had committed to the Blue Devils in June. He visited State several days after that commitment, and has also been to Ole Miss and Michigan State. The 6’3, 185-pound prospect and racked up a rather astounding 514 receiving yards on 16 catches last fall.
The Pack’s ‘25 class now stands at 18 commitments.
