The Pack’s tournament begins on Saturday.
NC State learned its NCAA tournament draw right off the bat—the Wolfpack is the two-seed in Regional 1 – Spokane (these naming conventions are so catchy!) and will begin play on Saturday in Raleigh against No. 15 Vermont. The bottom half of the regional includes a couple of familiar foes in Florida State and LSU.

Vermont isn’t a team to sleep on, as the Catamounts are No. 87 in Torvik. The America East tournament champs come in winners of six straight.
Michigan State comes in at No. 23 in Torvik, and Harvard at No. 46 is solid as well. The committee didn’t hand the Wolfpack an easy trip to the second weekend. And should it get that far, a rematch against LSU is a distinct possibility.
UCLA is the No. 1 seed in this region and the No. 1 overall seed in the field. Baylor is the No. 4 seed.
On the bright side, none of the top seeds will have a home crowd advantage in Spokane.
