The Pack has its replacement for Gary Hahn.
NC State has its new play-by-play man for football and men’s hoops—it’s Matt Chazanow, who comes to Raleigh from Washington State. Chazanow had served in the same role at Wazzu since 2015, so he brings plenty of experience calling games at a high level.

Chazanow has excellent credentials, he’s young, and he also has connections to North Carolina—as NCSU’s release makes sure to highlight—but no doubt some folks will be disappointed that State did not promote Andrew Sanders to the big chair.
I’m as surprised as anyone else that didn’t happen, as Andrew has been paying his dues for a long time, calling a variety of different sports at NC State, most notably baseball and women’s basketball.
But again, Chazanow’s credentials, which include working for Westwood One, are impressive. I look forward to seeing his approach to calling games here, though I’m sure it’ll take a little bit of time for him to find his footing.
Welcome to Raleigh, Matt.
