NC State has quickly started addressing its need for depth in the secondary after four Wolfpack defensive backs hit the portal last week. State has picked up commitments from Missouri transfer Jaren Sensabaugh and Temple transfer Jamel Johnson.
Johnson finished the 2024 season as Temple’s fifth-leading tackler with 47 and picked off a pair of passes. He spent one season with the Owls after playing two years at Charleston Southern, and he has two years remaining.
Sensabaugh has yet to see the field in college but was a consensus four-star prospect in the class of 2024. He still has four years of eligibility. It’s tough to figure what kind of impact he might have in the fall, but he’s a worthwhile flier at this point since he has plenty of time to develop.
NC State will need to keep adding on the back end but could wait until the spring to make more additions.
