NC State got some excellent news on Sunday: the selection committee currently has the Wolfpack on the two-seed line. The Pack is in better shape than I thought.

Charlie Creme’s most recent bracketology has NC State as a four-seed, and given State’s standing in the NET (19), I figured that was about right. But as a two-seed instead, NC State has a little room for error in maintaining a first-weekend hosting spot, which is handy.
The committee seems to be giving the Pack some credit for aggressive non-conference scheduling, despite the losses: State played South Carolina, LSU, and TCU—the latter on the road. That head-to-head win over Duke isn’t hurting, either.
