Keeping an eye on the Wolfpack’s transfer activities
The rush of transfer announcements is slowing, the D1 list on Verbal Commits (https://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers) sits at 1,760. But it has already exceeded last season’s all-time high of 1,717.
We have seven players (Pass, O’Connell, Taylor, Parker Jr, Rice, Middlebrooks, and Diarra) that are candidates to transfer. O’Connell, having graduated from Stanford last summer, can make the decision to transfer anytime, but unless they graduate, the other six will have to decide by Wednesday May 1 in order to be eligible to play at another school next season. Unless one of them decides to transfer or leave the program for other reasons, we have two remaining open scholarships. The countdown is on.
We currently appear to be starting a little faster than last season’s pace of adding transfers, which you would expect with our well-deserved, post-season notoriety.
