RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The North Carolina State women’s basketball team is hosting a team from Virginia for the second Sunday in a row, and they’re hoping for the same result — a win — as last week.
The Wolfpack (15-4 overall, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) hosts Virginia Tech (14-5, 5-3) Sunday evening. Tipoff at Reynolds Coliseum is scheduled for 6 p.m.
NC State has won four games in a row, including a 73-68 win over Virginia in Raleigh last Sunday and a 74-66 victory at Syracuse on Thursday. In the win over the Orange, Zoe Brooks led the Wolfpack with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Madison Hayes had 18 points and nine rebounds.
The Hokies are on a two-game win streak, with their last victory a 84-57 win at Pitt last Thursday night. All five starters scored in double-digits for Virginia Tech, with Carleigh Wenzel’s 16 points leading the way.
For their next game, NC State will make a short trip up the interstate to face in-state rival Wake Forest on Thursday night.
