RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — North Carolina State is ready to make another Final Four run, and their journey to do so starts Saturday afternoon at home.
The No. 2 Wolfpack (26-6) opens the 2025 NCAA Tournament vs. No. 15 Vermont (21-12). Tipoff in the Spokane Regional 1 game is set for 2 p.m. from Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh.
NC State is coming off a loss to Duke in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament final, but had been on a winning streak prior to that. In the 76-62 loss to the Blue Devils, star guard Aziaha James scored 18 points to lead the Wolfpack, with Zoe Brooks and Saniya Rivers contributing 17 points and 16 points, respectively.
The Catamounts won the America East Conference, defeating the University of Albany, to earn their spot in the NCAA Tournament. Nikola Priede led Vermont with 20 points and nine rebounds against the Great Danes.
The winner of Saturday’s game will move on to play in the second round on Monday.
