ATLANTA (WNCN) — NC State is looking to bounce back after a loss to rival North Carolina on Saturday, but they’ll have to do it against another top-ranked team
The No. 13 Wolfpack (20-5 overall, 12-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) visit the No. 20 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (21-5, 9-5) Thursday night. Tipoff at McCamish Pavilion is set for 7 p.m.
NC State narrowly lost to UNC 66-65 in Chapel Hill on Sunday. Aziaha James led the Wolfpack with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Both Saniya James (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Madison Hayes, (13 points, 11 rebounds) recorded double-doubles in the losing effort.
Georgia Tech is coming off a win over Wake Forest at home. In the 73-62 victory, Kara Dunn led all scorers with 22 points. Kayla Blackshear also contributed 11 points and eight rebounds for the Yellow Jackets.
Up next for NC State is their biggest challenge of the season — a matchup against No. 1 Notre Dame. That game will tip off Sunday at noon at Reynolds Coliseum.
