RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — After a huge win in Tallahassee last week over then-No. 22 Florida State, NC State women’s basketball has cracked the AP top ten and will face another team from the Sunshine State, but this time at home.
The No. 10 Wolfpack (19-4 overall, 11-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) hosts the Miami Hurricanes (13-10, 3-9) Thursday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at Reynolds Coliseum.
NC State rolled past the Seminoles 97-74 on Saturday. Though Florida State start Ta’Niya Latson scored a game-high 23 points, the Wolfpack had more balanced scoring, with Aziaha James and Zoe Brooks scoring 22 and 21 points, respectively. All five NC State starters scored at least 12 points in the rout.
Miami has lost their last two games, with the most recent being at Duke on Sunday. In the 90-49 loss, Cameron Williams led the Hurricanes with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Next up for the Wolfpack is a huge game this weekend — a rivalry game against No. 12 North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Sunday afternoon.
