RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — NC State men’s basketball is looking to bounce back from two losses in a holiday tournament last week, but they’ll have to do it in the 2024 SEC/ACC Challenge.
The Wolfpack (5-2) are set to host Texas (6-1) on Wednesday night. Tip off at the Lenovo Center is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
NC State was in San Diego on Thanksgiving, when they lost to Purdue 71-61 in the Rady Children’s Invitational. The following day, they dropped a matchup to BYU by a nearly-identical score of 72-61. The tournament losses were the Wolfpack’s first two defeats so far this season.
Texas is entering the matchup on a six-game winning streak, having not lost since dropping their season opener to Ohio State on Nov. 4. Their last victory was over Delaware State in Austin on Friday night.
The Wolfpack open Atlantic Coast Conference play later this week when they host Florida State on Saturday night.
