RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — So far, the NC State men’s basketball team has cruised to two wins to start the 2024-25 season. They’re looking to make it three in a row Wednesday night.
The Wolfpack (2-0) hosts Coastal Carolina (1-1) at the Lenovo Center. Tipoff is scheduled at 7 p.m.
Across their first two wins, NC State has six players averaging more than 10 points, led by Jayden Taylor’s 13.5 points per game. Ben Middlebrooks and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield are leading the team in rebounding so far, with both averaging 5.5. boards per game.
The Chanticleers won their season opener at home against Western Michigan, but lost at ECU on Saturday. Rasheed Jones is leading Coastal Carolina in scoring so far, averaging 17.5 points per game, while Denzel Jones’ seven rebounds per game leads the team in that category.
Wednesday’s meeting will be the fourth all-time between Coastal Carolina and NC State, and the first since 1988. The Wolfpack has won all three contests so far.
NC State continues their season-opening homestand next with a matchup against Colgate on Monday night.
