BERKELEY, CA (WNCN) — NC State football is heading out west to try to get their first Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season.
The Wolfpack (3-4 overall, 0-3 ACC) will face Cal (3-3, 0-3) Saturday afternoon in Berkeley. Kickoff at California Memorial Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m.
NC State is coming off two home losses — to Syracuse last week, and to Wake Forest the week before. The Wolfpack’s last win was over Northern Illinois in Raleigh on Sept. 29.
The Cal Golden Bears, though winless in the conference, have only lost their first three ACC games by a total of eight points. Those include a one-point loss to Miami two weeks ago and a two-point loss at Pitt last week.
This is NC State’s last game before their bye week. The Wolfpack won’t play again until November, when they have home games against Stanford and Duke followed by a trip to Georgia Tech. They’ll end the regular season with the annual rivalry game against North Carolina, which this year will be in Chapel Hill.
