RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Though the NC State football team climbed back over .500 with a win over Northern Illinois last week, they’re still looking for their first Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season.
They’ll get the chance Saturday afternoon as the Wolfpack (3-2 overall, 0-1 ACC) welcome Wake Forest to Raleigh. Kick off at Carter-Finley Stadium is set for noon.
The Demon Deacons (1-3, 0-1) are also seeking their first ACC win of the year. After winning their opening matchup against NC A&T, they’ve dropped three games in a row, including a one-point loss at home to Virginia in Week 2. Last week, they lost to Louisiana in Winston-Salem by just a field goal.
NC State is coming off a win against the Huskies, but is still trying to find a rhythm after two big blowout losses in between the three wins so far.
Following this matchup, the Wolfpack will have one more home game this month — next week against Syracuse — before heading west to play at one of the ACC’s newest schools, Cal.
