RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — NC State is looking to make it a sweep against the Atlantic Coast Conference’s two northern California teams.
The Wolfpack (4-4 overall, 1-3 ACC) is hosting the Stanford Cardinal (2-6, 1-4) in Raleigh Saturday afternoon. Kickoff at Carter-Finley Stadium is set for 12 p.m.
Before their bye last week, NC State earned a narrow win at fellow ACC newcomer Cal, where they won 24-23 on Oct. 19 for their first conference win of the season. Prior to that, the Wolfpack had lost three of their last four games.
Stanford is coming off a narrow loss of their own, a 27-24 defeat at home to Wake Forest. The Cardinal have just one conference win so far — a 26-24 victory at Syracuse on Sept. 20.
Next week, NC State plays their final home game of the season against Triangle rival Duke. They then hit the road for the last two contests of the regular season against Georgia Tech and other rival, UNC.
