ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WNCN) — Two North Carolina football teams very familiar with each other will face off in the postseason in Maryland Saturday.
NC State (6-6 overall, 3-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) and East Carolina (7-5, 5-3 American Athletic Conference) are set to clash in the Go Bowling Military Bowl. Kickoff at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
It will be the first of two meetings in a row for the Wolfpack and Pirates, as the two are set to open the 2025 season against each other at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh on Aug. 30.
Saturday’s Military Bowl showdown will be the 33rd time the two teams have faced off, with NC State leading the all-time series with a record of 19-13. The Wolfpack and the Pirates last played in 2022, with NC State edging out a 21-20 win.
The last time the two programs met in the postseason was the 1992 Peach Bowl, which ECU won 37-34.
